Tech.Pass It is a visa program launched by Singapore's Economic Development Board (EDB) to attract the world's top entrepreneurs, executives, experts and investors in the field of science and technology to Singapore, helping Singapore to build Asia's leading technology and innovation center.
I. Conditions of eligibility
Applicants need to fulfill both of the following two major requirements:
1️⃣ Salary requirements
Fixed monthly salary for the last year not less than S$22,500 or foreign currency equivalent.
2️⃣ Experience Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in any of the following areas:
Executive role in a technology company with a valuation ≥ US$500M or cumulative funding ≥ US$30M
Manage technology venture capital or private equity assets ≥ US$500M
II. Degrees of freedom of Tech.
The licensee can carry out diversified technology-related activities in Singapore, including:
✅ Starting and running a technology company
✅ Concurrently serving as an officer, director, advisor or investor in multiple companies
✅ Research, lecturing or tutoring at a university or research institution
✅ Investing in and promoting Singapore's science, technology and innovation projects
III. Period of validity and renewal
Initial validity: 2 years
Renewable once for a further 2 years
Renewal is subject to any of the following conditions:
Latest annual taxable income ≥ S$240,000
Annual company expenditure ≥ S$100,000 and employing at least 1 local PME or 3 local LQSs
The Company has received a cumulative total of ≥ US$10M financing within the last 36 months with participation from qualified investment institutions
IV. Application process
1️⃣ Confirm eligibility and prepare application materials
2️⃣ Submit e-application and pay application fee
3️⃣ Submission of supporting documents (salary, company information, proof of investment, etc.)
4️⃣ Waiting for approval (about 8 weeks)
5️⃣ After receiving IPA, go to MOM to get your permit.
V. Required materials
Fully completed and signed application form
Proof of salary for the last 12 months (pay stubs, tax returns, etc.)
Proof of company valuation, financing or asset management
Letters of recommendation (if required)
