Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) The LTVP is issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to foreigners who hold a Work Pass to allow their specific dependents to legally reside in Singapore on a long-term basis.The LTVP is mainly for those groups of dependents who do not qualify for the Dependant's Pass (DP), such as elderly parents, unmarried partners, etc. The LTVP is also available for those who do not qualify for the Dependent's Pass (DP).


🌟 Who can apply for LTVP?

✅ The sponsor of the LTVP must be an expatriate holding one of the following passes:

  • Employment Pass (EP) holders

  • S Pass holders

✅ Dependents who may apply for LTVP include:

  • Elderly parents of the principal applicant or spouse

  • Unmarried partner of the principal applicant (proof of a long-term stable relationship is required)

  • Stepchildren of the principal applicant (unmarried under 21 years of age)

  • Guardian of the principal applicant or spouse (in exceptional cases)

🌟 LTVP application process

1️⃣ Application submitted by the main applicant's employer or agent through the MOM online system
2️⃣ Submit relevant supporting documents (passport, birth certificate, proof of relationship, etc.)
3️⃣ MOM approval (approval cycle typically 3-8 weeks, depending on circumstances)
4️⃣ Receive Approval in Principle (IPA), arrange entry and receive LTVP physical card


🌟 LTVP holder work organization

⚠ The LTVP itself does not confer the right to work. To be employed in Singapore, LTVP holders need to have one of the following applied for by their employer:

  • Employment Pass (EP)

  • S Pass

  • Work Permit (WP)

MOM will review LTVP holders based on their qualifications and employer status.
